Standard test procedure for tensile strength of concrete
Experimental investigation for selection of standard test procedure for determination of tensile strength of concrete; series of tests was conducted to study various factors influencing results, namely, size of specimen, size of packing materials and rate of loading; from results of these tests, certain basic recommendations have been made for standardization of testing procedure; also after exhaustive study of available test results, relation has been established between tensile strength obtained from suggested standard test, and compressive strength of both normal weight and light weight concretes.
