Freezing-and-thawing tests of concretes of various strengths and air contents
Investigation to develop information concerning frost resistance, compressive strength, water permeability, and air-void spacing factor of 14 selected concrete mixtures; fabrication and testing of 852 6 × 12 in. concrete cylinders and 1116 3 1/2 × 4 1/2 × 16 in. concrete beams; frost resistance, water permeability, and weight change during curing of concrete were determined; quantitative analysis was made of water passing through concrete during permeability testing.
