Torsion of structural concrete -- Uniformly prestressed rectangular members without web reinforcement
Torsional strength of prestressed concrete beam is shown to be equal to that of nonprestressed beam multiplied by factor accounting for effect of prestress; this prestress factor is suggested for practical design applications; bending mechanism of torsional failure for plain concrete rectangular members was extended to uniformly prestressed rectangular members and was found to be applicable; equation for ultimate torsional strength of prestressed concrete members without web reinforcement was derived.
