Formwork -- Some unusual problems and their solution
Two unusual concrete structures are dealt with; first case is two tier bridge structure which forms link block between two major buildings; methods adopted to deal with deflection in false work are discussed in association with problem in leveling and striking large flat areas; second structure concerns 29 story office block where major cantilever structure at first floor level supports remaining 28 stories above; formwork involved major support structure 45 ft high, and forms had to create complex configuration in which no right angles existed.
