Stiffness of reinforced concrete members; investigation consisted of theoretical and experimental studies of behavior of reinforced concrete slabs subjected to bending and torsion; three of specimens were subjected to isostatic moments, 10 specimens were submitted to uniaxial moments, and nine specimens were tested in pure torsion; variables which characterized test specimens were direction and distribution of reinforcement; amount of reinforcement in each layer was 1.0, 0.5, or 0.25%, and nonisotropy, μ, was 0.5 or 0.25; directions of reinforcement were 0, 22.5, 45 or 67.5° with respect to applied principal moment.
