Strength of reinforced concrete columns
Procedure developed to predict strength of reinforced concrete column bent in single curvature and subjected to action of axial loads and equal end moments simultaneously applied; procedure is based on moment magnification concept and series of charts are presented which facilitate application of procedure in practical designs; comparisons between theory and experimental results from 53 previously reported column tests are made; examples illustrating use of procedure are presented.
