State of lift-story method in Soviet Union; complete stories, pre-assembled on ground, are lifted at supports and fixed in height provided; construction of three-story experimental buildings in Leningrad was followed by erection of higher buildings in other Soviet cities; method is reported to be applicable for construction of multi-story apartment houses, and social and industrial buildings; special systems of hydraulic lifting appliances were developed.
