Graphs of vertical deflections of arch crown and quarter points are presented together with horizontal abutment displacements and mean atmospheric humidity readings; strain readings on creep and shrinkage test pieces; arch deflection equations are derived for superstructure placement, rib shortening, shrinkage, abutment displacement and arch jacking, taking account of creep and additional deflection due to thrust line eccentricity.
