A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Method of analysis of dynamic response of horizontally curved simple-span bridge is presented subject to smoothly moving mass load; methods of analysis for vibration of bridges on straight alignment involving moving mass loads are reviewed; solution of problem through use of method of undetermined coefficients is demonstrated; parametric study is made of effects of horizontal curvature, rigidity ratio, speed parameter, and weight and frequency ratios on response of bridge to flexural and torsional vibrations.
