Study of curved bridges; brief comparative review of five methods of curved bridge calculation is followed by detailed presentation of J. Courbon's theory (1961) and its application to illustrative example of 50 m long bridge span formed by prestressed concrete box beam with 150 m curvature radius; influence planes of torsional moments are determined and justified; simplified method is then proposed for calculating influence line of flexural moment at support, as well as method for determining influence planes of torsional moments in asymmetric curved bridge.
