Elastic buckling of plate girders under pure bending
Equation for determining critical load is introduced for cases in which web plate with vertical stiffeners, regarded as orthotropic plate, is elastically supported and built to upper flange; critical loads are calculated and influence of rigidities of stiffeners and flexural and torsional rigidities of upper flange on critical load is discussed theoretically; experimental results are compared with theoretical data.
