Twisting of thin-walled box girders of trapezoidal cross section
Work of F.Resinger and B.Richmond on twisting of thin-walled box girders of rectangular cross section is extended to include trapezoidal cross sections; more general definition of variables is made that still preserves almost all characteristics of earlier work (1966); it has also been possible to retain effective beam concept by adding normal force; modifications necessary for both influence coefficient and displacement methods are developed; numerical values are given for several simple box girder systems with different widths of bottom flange.
