Shear strength of rectangular reinforced and prestressed concrete beams
Method of calculating shear strength of beams under one or two point loads is described; new failure criterion for concrete of compression zone was developed by using 'distortion energy' principle; comparison with other criteria shows that this hypothesis describes failure pattern of concrete with reasonable safety; inclination of shear cracks has been introduced as independent variable in this method.
