With metals in sheet form on critical list, problem of roof repairs is being solved in some instances by application of special transparent mastic, known as Gilsonite Insul-Mastic, followed by sprayed-on protective coating of slate granules; process in somewhat modified form is also being used in waterproofing sidewalls and masonry around wall openings; description of process.
