In preparing plans for two story and basement office building that had to be constructed quickly at limited cost and from available materials, U S Engineers chose structure having wood frame, except for interior columns, which are steel shells filled with concrete; construction of building, providing 13,000 sq ft of floor area, was completed in 45 days.
