Methods of allaying dust in underground mining operations
Where enough properly applied water may be used, there should be few if any health or explosion hazards in underground mines; moisture is detrimental to certain processes and minerals; in some coal mines limited quantities of liquid must be used if product is to be marketed; wetting agents added to water can effect greater reduction in dust than water alone; methods of applying fluids; ventilation requirements. (see also Min Mag v 67 n 2 Aug 1942 p 69-81)
