Detailed study of 60-day nonfatal underground accidents in Pennsylvania bituminous coal mines during 1939
Of total of 1622 non-fatal lost time accidents in mines of Pennsylvania reported in 1939, 1531 or 84% occurred underground, and these underground injuries are used as basis of present study; analysis of statistical data, with discussion of lessons to be learned.
