Indoor, demountable cycle track has been designed by Timber Research and Development Assn for cycle races; track consists of 144 segments 4 ft wide which are assembled by bolting together; each segment has 7/8 in. thick plywood deck screwed and glued to four timber trusses at 16 in. centers; plan and section of track are shown.
