Structural behavior measurements of tunnel liners spring creek power conduit
Strain and pressure meters were installed on liners near portals of two pressure tunnels to obtain structural behavior measurements to provide information on amount of total static head resisted by steel liners; three strain meters and two pressure meters were installed at six tunnel stations; installation of meters and interpretation of test results are discussed; measurements were made over 5 yr period; liner stresses based on given measurements indicate that about one-fifth of total static head was resisted by liners.
