Surface and underground geophysical studies at straight creek tunnel site, Colorado
Seismic and electrical resistivity measurements were made in Straight Creek tunnel, Colorado, pilot bore during and immediately after period of construction; velocity and resistivity values were correlated statistically; results indicated that if correlations were established during early stages of construction, predictions of economic and engineering parameters could be made to guide construction in new tunnel based on geophysical measurements made on surface above tunnel, or on measurements made underground in feeler holes drilled ahead of working face.
