Calculation of partial deformations for reduction and sizing of tubes
Study has shown that defects originating in reducing and sizing tubes (distortions, cracking, transverse irregularities in thickness, polygonal cross-section, etc) depend on partial and total deformation and regularity of tube cross-section, initial temperature of operation and on tension applied; good characteristics in regard to stability of tube cross-section and their quality are obtained by reducing and sizing in three-high stands on oval passes.
