Statistical modeling of travel speeds and delays on high-volume highway
Factors influencing travel speed and delay are discussed; statistical models were developed to estimate factors accounting for variations in travel speed; factors studied were types of roadside development and stream friction; delays at intersections were essentially caused by signal timing, traffic volume and occurrence of stops.
