Method used in Sweden for construction of porous concrete tennis courts that are dry and suitable for play within 30 min of heavy rainfall; bearing slabs for courts consist of 4-in. layer of cement-bound macadam mix; load-bearing slab can be laid directly over subbase if soil is either sandy or gravelly; clay subsoil is covered with 2 to 4-in. layer of sand or gravel, compacted to grade; topping for court consists of 1 1/4 to 2 in. thick layer of cement-bound aggregate.
