Errors in temperature measurement of moving air under isothermal conditions using thermocouples, thermistors and thermometers
Study was conducted to investigate factors that tend to reduce accuracy of various devices when used to sense temperature of moving air stream in duct as compared to accuracy of these sensing devices under conditions of calibration, and to develop techniques for minimizing these effects; performances of copper-constantan thermocouples, thermistors, and mercury-in-glass thermometers were observed under isothermal conditions at 55, 75, and 100 F in moving air.
