Behavior of infilled frames under static loading
New method is described which makes use of concept of finite element and is thereby able to find points of separation between frame and infill, as well as stress distribution in contact intervals, as integral part of solution; slip between frame and infill is also taken into account; studies presented are part of investigation into effects of earthquakes on multistory infilled frames, in which stiffness matrix required for static analysis plays important part.
