O vyplavke vysokolegirovannykh stalei v kislorodnykh konverterakh
Melting high alloy steels in basic oxygen furnaces; additional heat input into converter when melting 1Kh13 and 1Kh18N9T steels with large quantity of alloying additions can be ensured by combustion of fuel (heat of which, however, is not efficiently used), by addition and oxidation of silicon (this is possible only with chromium content of 7 to 10% and is accompanied by high chromium losses), and by using molten ferro-alloys produced in electric furnace.
