Investigation of torsion fatigue of metal-sprayed steel specimens
Sand blasted 15-mm round bars of St50-2 were arc or flame sprayed with layers of steel (with and without intermediate layer of Mo) or of NiCu30Fe alloy; others were powder sprayed and heat treated to apply NiCrSiB coating; fatigue values of arc and flame sprayed specimens were slightly higher than of nonmetallized specimens; those of NiCrSiB coated specimens were lower; this is attributed to effect of heat treatment.
