Economic considerations in construction of gated morning glory spillway of Robert Lee Dam on Colorado River in Texas are outlined; construction techniques are described; Robert Lee's morning glory stands 163 1/2 ft high from foundation block to operating deck; from crest diam of 66 1/2 ft, it tapers to diam of 28 ft; at its bottom is 90° elbow with 56-ft radius that conducts water into 600-ft concrete conduit under dam to stilling basin below.
