Generalization of Mohr-Coulomb strength criterion for soils
Paper proposes generalization of Mohr-Coulomb strength hypothesis in which it is assumed that actual slip surface is rough in contrast to ideal smooth surface considered in statics of cohesionless media; such assumption enables influence of all three principal stresses on strength of soil to be accounted for and strength characteristics to be established that are invariable with reference to stress conditions.
