Deformation of sand at failure
Failure conditions in Ottawa sand are studied by means of new soil test box and stress control device; failure envelopes for soil in medium dense and medium loose state are obtained and plotted on octahedral plane; relation between failure stress and void ratio of soil is obtained for soil under triaxial compression and triaxial extension stress states.
