Estimation of hurricane surge hydrographs
Numerically integrated hydrodynamic equations of motion and continuity are used for computing one-dimensional, nonlinear storm surge along Texas Coast; method employs onshore and alongshore wind stress components with moving wind field over continental shelf; surge hydrographs are presented for several locations along coast to show effects of varying standard project hurricane parameters.
