Analysis is given of data pertaining to ship turn-around time from standpoint of queuing theory; ship arrivals for full year were studied and arrival-distribution function selected; servicing-distribution function of 1215 ships which used berths during year was obtained; problem was to determine average waiting time for ships arriving from sea, and average number of ships waiting at bar for berth.
