Axially symmetric flexural vibrations of circular disk
At high frequencies, flexural vibrations of plate are described poorly by classical theory because of neglect of influence of coupling with thickness shear vibrations; latter may be accounted for by inclusion of rotary inertia and shear deformation terms in equations; resulting frequency spectrum given for axially symmetric vibrations of circular disk with free edges.
