First bridge of prestressed concrete
In pedestrian bridge across Arroyo Seco channel in Los Angeles, two prestressed concrete girders were precast, lifted and moved into place on prepared abutments, where they will constitute simple span of 110 ft and will carry walking slab 8 ft in width; data on prestressing, grouting procedure and moving girders.
