Study of means to estimate and allow for bulking of fine aggregate; results of tests show that maximum bulking for sand gravels similar in gradation to those used in tests occurs when moisture content is between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 per cent, and large increase in volume occurs when material is moved from pile to mixer.
