Completion of railway realignment along the left shore of Zurich
Construction of new tunnel, 8.40 m. × 5.60 m., involved diverting and raising bed of river Sihl to as much as 4.60 m.; energy of resulting waterfall destroyed by hydraulic-jump layout, model of which was studied by Rehbock; details of tunneling, tunnel lining; map, plan and architectural design of new railway station, train sheds and grade crossings; safety devices.
