Careful study and investigation of various types of dams led to selection of Jorgensen constant-angle arch dam as most economical and best adapted to site in question; it is 279 ft. high, 1200 ft. long including gravity-type abutting wings, 53 ft. in maximum thickness at base and 8 ft. thick at top; entire structure contains 90,000 cu. yd. of concrete.
