A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Results of research into methods of combating corrosion in sewers, which take into account design and economic considerations; sewers constructed of plastic, pitch fiber, salt-glazed earthenware, concrete, plastic-lined concrete, ocrated concrete, asbestos-cement and brick are compared for corrosion resistance; methods of preventing or minimizing production of sulfides and release into sewer atmosphere of hydrogen sulfide are discussed.
