Description of gravel dredge operating on lake in Switzerland, designed for dredging depth of 120 m and capacity of up to 240 cu m/hr; clamshell bucket has capacity of 5 cu m, vessel is 60 m long and 15 m wide; power is supplied by 15,000-v a-c underwater cable and transformed on board to 500 v and 380 v a-c; dredge is provided with conveyors for loading of crushed to -34 mm, dewatered and screened, gravel into barges.
