Watertight case for butyl rubber
Butyl is most water resistant rubber available, with water impermeability twice that of polyethylene, 22 times that of preformed asphalt, and 60 times that of PVC; long in use for automobile and truck tire inner tubes, it has recently assumed newer role as waterproofing membrane for roofing construction, lining reservoirs and canals, and general irrigation and water conservation purposes.
