Space-frame system will give 685×240 ft Exhibition Hall building clear span interior with total roof weight of 11 psf; truss dimensions conform to building's 10 ft module, which, in turn, was chosen because it corresponds to size of standard exhibition booth; 10 ft sizing also permits use of 3 in. metal roof deck without secondary purlins; symmetry standardizes many members and joints; disadvantage was number of joints.
