Prestressed shell construction as shed roof in Bologna
Roof of 60 × 70 m shed with 6.8 m free headroom consists of five beam-like 9.74 m wide 60-m span prestressed shells in form of flat wide Y with cantilever wings 9.74 m wide, 14 to 23 cm thick; distance between Y-axes is 14.0 m; remaining space (4.26 m) is filled by light ceiling construction of 12 cm thick hollow bricks suspended from shell edge with bars which at same time form window frames; construction details and stress analysis are included.
