Temperature distribution in massive roofs
Theoretical formulas are derived for calculating mean summer and winter temperatures in reinforced concrete roofs provided with heat barrier consisting of layers of gravel, sand, roll roofing, and porous wood-fiber board of various thicknesses; temperature measurements carried out are described; data obtained yielded numerical values of equation constants and made it possible to establish simple semi-empirical formulas for maximum yearly temperature variations in concrete roofs.
