Construction in Austria of large, clear-span stiff roof weighing only 8.2 psf; 8-ft wide, 20-in. deep perimeter beam cantilevers from both sides of supporting concrete frames and from projected tops of side wall reinforced ribs; perimeter beam is pierced horizontally at 6-ft intervals along front and back walls and every 6.5 ft along side walls to receive 1.3-in. diam cables; 1400 prefabricated coffered wood panels were suspended on disks above cables for roof deck; illustrations of construction operations.
