Novel type of space frame, which can be used for roofs of factories, hangars, and large halls; roof slab was designed as continuous flat slab spanning 48 ft in two directions; effective thickness of slab is 4 ft consisting of upper and lower plane, each composed of grid of spherical steel connectors joined by steel tubes of varying diameters; two planes are 4 ft apart.
