Ontario uses asbestos-asphalt overlay to help seal water-soaked city streets
Use of 3/4 in. asbestos-asphalt thin overlay on some 250,000 sq ft of streets in Ontario, California, which presented surface problems of cracks, chuck holes and severe raveling; design mix included 2.0% asbestos fiber and 9.5% of 85 to 100 penetration asphalt; benefit of using asbestos-asphalt mix was rolling closely behind paver.
