Prediction of flexible pavement deflections from laboratory repeated-load tests
Problem of relationships between fatigue cracking of bituminous pavements due to many repetitions of loads and measurable characteristics of certain surface, base, and subgrade materials; repeated plate-load tests on five prototype pavement sections consisting of asphaltic concrete surface and untreated granular base over fine-grained soil subgrade; comparisons were made between observed resilient deflections and predicted values.
