Emergence of epoxy resin as new material in highway and civil engineering is described and various properties of components are examined, with particular relationship to requirements of industry; some of more widely accepted uses of epoxy resin compounds are covered, such as mortars, adhesives, road surfacings and number of special applications which have enhanced reputation of these versatile materials as means of repair when conventional techniques have proved impossible; economic factors of epoxy resins; novel uses of epoxy resin construction, repair and road safety are also described.
