Investigation of thermal conductivity of frost while forming on flat horizontal plate
Evaluation of thermal conductivity of frost as function of its density in comprehensive study of air velocity, humidity and surface temperature, for determining their effect on frost deposition rate, frost density, and rate of change of thermal conductivity; closed-loop wind tunnel with controlling capabilities over air temperature, air velocity, humidity and coolant temperature was used in experimental program; literature survey on mechanisms and characteristics of heat and mass transfer from humid air to subfreezing surface.
