Port of antwerp -- Extension works connected with ten year scheme
Works include construction of two docks with up-to-date equipment, lengthening of quay wall for ore and coal transporter bridges, construction of finger mooring jetty for large tankers, construction of canal dock of considerable dimensions (4 3/4 mi long), extending north of existing port, and construction of world's largest sea lock, as junction between Canal Dock and River Scheldt; short description is given of each of these works, while reference is also made to some specific difficulties encountered as works were carried out.
